Puppies coming to a whistle
Established in 2006. We are a seasoned family breeder, investing all of love, time and energy into each and every litter. We raise our puppies the same as our own pets, in our homes among our family. No puppy is raised in a barn. It is truly a family run business, our goal to be sure every puppy gets the attention they need and deserve.
Our dogs and puppies receive personal attention from their very first breath. We deliver all our litters in our whelping room. We stay with them for the first week to be sure mom and pups are doing well. Every puppy is well socialized and loved and have a wonderful life.
We begin working with our puppies at a very early age, and typically by six weeks old they are litter box trained understanding there is a place to relieve themselves, as well as a place sleep, play, eat. They also learn how to come to a whistle. Our goal is to hand every puppy over the way we would want to receive a puppy ourselves. We make every effort for them to grow in our home to prepare them for a seamless transition into yours.
HEALTH TESTINGS
We understand the importance of health testings and genetic screenings. All our dogs are health tested through, OFA and/or PennHIP as well as genetic screening to avoid producing puppies affected with known genetic conditions common in Goldens. We have 7 generation of health history and stand behind our guarantee. We are very proud of the health, temperament and beauty of our dogs and puppies and do our very best to be sure we are breeding the best combinations we can. One of our matriachs 'Mizzen' will be 15 years old in June and doing well!
All our puppies come with AKC registration application papers (pet only/limited registration), two year health guarantee, appropriate de-worming, State health certificates
and first vaccination from our veterinarian.
In addition, as we have grown we don't ever want to lose this personal attention we give to our puppies and our future families. We are very happy and fortunate to work exclusively with our good friends and partners at Ciarfella’s Retrievers & Gould's Goldens. We regularly consult each other concerning our combined 'waitlist' and Golden Retriever breeding pairs. Sharing and working together carefully planning each breeding. Raising the puppies has evolved into a friendship of mutual respect and a solid partnership as we co-own many of our dogs together, our pedigree and lines have worked so well together.
Because we want every one of our dogs to live in a loving home. We place our 'future hopeful' breeders in guardian homes when they are 8 weeks old. Each of our dogs live with their guardian family for their entire lives. They come home to us ( I call it coming to Gramma's house) when they are of age for the breeding, whelping and raising of the puppies. We are so incredibly fortunate to have these amazing families in our lives. Some of our guardians have become more involved in helping raise some litters of puppies under our guidance and supervision. This has developed into a wonderful experience for everyone. We feel we have a new approach to our breeding program. Our families just keep growing in the most wonderful way!
We have become a close extended family network of
Salty Dogs, Ciarfella's Retrievers & Gould's Goldens.
Our current puppy owners have been our greatest advertisers through word of mouth. Now in our 16th year most of our current litters have returning families getting another puppy to join their families. Several veterinarians and staff get our puppies. Our puppies and studs have been featured in several publications, posters and catalog covers. We are also very proud of donating puppies who have been Volhard temperament tested for therapy & service dogs with both the A.C.T.S. (Assistance Canine Training Service), a non profit therapy/service dog program and Little Angels Service dogs.
Over the years we have had several of our litters professionally evaluated
qualifying for and accepted into our local service dog programs. We also provide all the stud services for Little Angels Service dogs.
This is a true testament to the disposition and temperament of our line.

OUR FOUR GENERATION PHOTO taken in 2016
It's not everyday you get to take this photo. We are so fortunate to love what I do. It takes time, dedication & family sacrifices, lot's of love & attention to details and plenty of hard work to get here... but it has been worth every minute. Thank you to all our families who are part of this crazy wonderful life we live!

PRICING AND WAIT LIST INFORMATION
If it's worthwhile... it's worth the wait.
We have a waitlist for every litter, they are full before the puppies arrive. We believe it is important when looking for a puppy to find the right breeder, someone you feel comfortable working and communicating with. This relationship is one of trust and mutual respect and is worth its "wait" in gold. The process from the first successful breeding to the day you come to take your new puppy home develops a relationship that starts as strangers and ends as friends. Most of these relations continue with our families staying in touch with us (and each other) throughout their dogs lives.
A $400.00 non-refundable deposit along with filling out our form will place you on our waiting list. You can either start by emailing us and tell us a bit about yourselves to receive the wait list form to complete.
The order your deposit is received determines
your placement in the selection order.
After the puppies are born and we know we have a puppy to offer you, you may choose to commit to that litter or bump back to the next litter. You may also say you are not ready yet. Deferring on the list will not lose your place in the order. You will be subject to the current policy/process/cost at the time you choose to commit to your puppy.
When you commit to the puppy offered, we ask for a
down payment of $500. This payment will hold
either a male or female puppy from a particular litter for you.
Both deposits are non refundable and applied to our current cost.
The price of our puppies are $3600. depending on the pairings.
We understand unexpected things in life can happen sometimes. If this is the case we ask you contact us regarding this and we will work with you to defer and place you on our 'on hold till further notice list' when you are ready for a puppy you can contact us and we will move you to the next available litter.
The final balance is due prior to pick up of your puppy.
As you can imagine the puppies safety is of the up-most importance to us. We certainly want you to come see our beautiful babies but found it best if we set up visits when they are approximately 6 weeks of age. In the meantime, we know you anxiously want to see your puppy. We make every effort to post new photos and videos on our Facebook page every few days so you too can enjoy watching them grow.
When the puppies are about 6 weeks old we arrange for you to come for your selection. At this point we know the puppies personalities quite well and can help by answering any questions about each and every one them. This process has worked great and when it is all said and done I feel confident that every puppy selected is the perfect fit for each of our families. With this in mind we also feel strongly to have the opportunity to meet each of our families. Every family comes to our homes to meet us, physically observe our puppies, their living environment and our program at selection and pick up.
The puppies will be ready to go to your homes at 8 weeks old with their first vaccine, NH State Health Certificate after being examined by our vet. Your own SaltyDogs "to go" bag including their AKC registration application, treats and lots of puppy information.
We feel we have prepared your puppy for their new life with their families. We ask that you pick up your puppy within 3 or 4 days of their release date. No puppy wants to be left behind
waiting for their families to arrive.
We DO NOT SHIP our puppies and require you to come pick him/her up..
Please let us know if you have any questions...
We will be happy to answer them.
CONTACT ME if you would like to become one of our families.
I look forward to hearing from you.
